SOUND

 

Sound Design is what engages your audience in film. It sells the concept of transforming a 2D image on screen into a 3D environment. Sound can truly immerse your audience in your film and is a powerful tool that adds focus to your story. Unfortunately, Sound Design is also an invisible art that is often only noticed when it's missing or poorly recorded. The next time you watch an animated film, imagine the incredible amount of talent and work that went into building a soundscape of a world which originally existed in total silence. Sound Design is not only about what you hear, but also the emotional quality of what your are hearing. Often, sound designers will use elements such as a lion roar in place of crashing waves to beef up the sound spectrum and deliver a heightened experience from what you might expect to actually hear.
